It came from one youth who tested HIV positive, he was reluctant to take ARVs, but after counselling, he came back to take ARVs, he said to me Sir, I just made a -u -turn, I want to take treatment, this is my life “. We have noticed that there are many young people who want to Make-A-U-Turn outside, but they are unsure about directions and decisions. We are stepping in to assist young people in navigating and finding possible tactics and directions to make a U-turn.
We came together and started a safe environment where young people can Make -A- U-Turn. The organization is also aims at forging partnerships with the government authorities and public – private sector to recognize completely the existence of the teenagers living with HIV and AIDS (TLWHA) as citizens who require decent opportunities and a safe environment to grow. Make - A-U-Turn (MAUT) becomes an instrumental tool to give courage to other TLWHAs to mitigate poor ARV adherence behavior and regain confidence to be enrolled in ART treatment programmes.
